Bartercard Surrey Storm

Performance Pathway Trials

Bartercard Surrey Storm are delighted to invite expressions of interest from athletes who have ambition to represent the franchise and be part of our Player Performance Pathway. This forms part of the newly updated England Netball Player Performance Pathway from September 2022.

In order to be eligible for the respective age groups you must fall into one of the categories below:

  • Under 17 as of 23:59 on 31st December 2022
  • Under 19 as of 23:59 on 31st December 2022
  • Under 21 as of 23:59 on 31st December 2022

The Bartercard Surrey Storm age group competition squads, previously known as NPL squads, will be renamed as the Bartercard Surrey Storm U21 Academy, U19 Academy and U17 Academy and will continue to compete in the England Netball age group competitions, previously known as the NPL.

From January 2023, the Bartercard Surrey Storm U15 squad will be known as the Bartercard Surrey Storm U15 Academy and continue to compete in the School Games. In order to be eligible for selection to the School Games squad, athletes must be part of the Bartercard Surrey Storm Player Performance Pathway or in one of the associated county academies.

Bartercard Surrey Storm are also pleased to announce we will host three Player Development Academies. These will form part of the Bartercard Surrey Storm Player Performance Pathway in line with the new England Netball Performance Pathway structure and will be held at Gordon’s School, Itchen College and Hurst Pierpoint College. Athletes who are invited to attend trials will be considered for all stages of our Player Performance Pathway, of which they are eligible.

A brand new Bartercard Surrey Storm ASPIRE programme based in Andover, St Theresa's Effingham, Ranelagh School and Havant and South Downs College. This will not form part of the Bartercard Surrey Storm or England Netball Player Performance Pathway, however, it will  provide an opportunity for athletes who are unsuccessful in their application for the Performance Pathway at this time to continue to develop their individual skills under the insightful direction of Bartercard Surrey Storm coaches throughout the year as well as provide competitive opportunities Vs the other ASPIRE groups.
